TechnologyBase Mobile Repair

Service & Repair Agreement

1.1 These terms apply to the services we provide for the repair of your device, including smartphones, tablets, computers, gaming consoles, TVs, and any related accessories, as specified on the service check-in form.

1.2 References to “us,” “we,” and “our” refer to Technology Base, while “you” and “your” refer to you, the Customer, as indicated on this form.

 

Pricing Disclaimer

All prices on the TechnologyBase website are subject to change without prior notice. While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, occasional errors in pricing may occur due to typographical, photographic, or technical issues, or errors received from our suppliers. In the event that a product is listed at an incorrect price, TechnologyBase reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for the product at the incorrect price.

If an item’s correct price is lower than the listed price, we will charge the lower amount and ship the item. If an item’s correct price is higher than the listed price, we will cancel your order, notify you of the error, and provide the option to purchase the item at the correct price.

Mobile Repair Services:

  1. Service Agreement: This agreement begins when you sign the online service form and continues until your device has been repaired or returned to you, and all payments have been received.
  2. Repair Process: We make every effort to repair your device using high-quality compatible parts, subject to availability and any warranty terms. All repairs are performed with the utmost care and precision.
  3. Device Passcode: To thoroughly test your device before and after the repair, we will require your device’s passcode. If you prefer to keep this private, we can proceed without it, but a full functional check cannot be performed until you return to the store, which may delay the service if adjustments are needed.
  4. Repair Timelines: Any completion estimates provided are approximate. Logic board repairs (Level 3) may require at least 5 business days to complete.
  5. Collection & Recycling: Once your device is repaired, we will notify you for collection. If not collected within a reasonable time, it may be transferred to our central warehouse, and delivery from there will incur additional charges. Uncollected devices may be recycled after 56 days, which means they will be processed for reuse or disposal.
  6. Repair Costs: If we are unable to complete the repair or if additional costs arise, we will notify you immediately. If you do not approve the revised estimate, we will return the device unrepaired and may charge an inspection fee.
  7. Payment Terms: All repair charges must be paid in full before the device is returned. Storage fees may apply if the device is not collected in a timely manner.
  8. Manufacturer’s Warranty: Our repair services may void your manufacturer’s warranty. If you wish to maintain the manufacturer warranty, please visit the manufacturer directly. Manufacturer warranties generally do not cover accidental damage.
  9. Warranty Seals: After repairs, we may apply warranty seals to your device. Tampering with these seals will void TechnologyBase’s warranty on the repair.
  10. No Liability for Liquid Damage Progression: TechnologyBase does not accept responsibility for any worsening of damage in devices affected by liquid. Opening the device may trigger further damage, which could be severe or even irreparable.
  11. Post-Liquid Damage Monitoring: We advise customers to monitor their devices after liquid damage repairs. Issues may emerge after treatment that are beyond our control.
  12. Reassessment for Warranty Issues: If any further issues related to liquid damage arise during the warranty period, we will reassess the device and provide a new quote. You may also opt for a full refund (excluding the £20 upfront fee) for the work already done.
  13. Waterproofing After Repair: We cannot guarantee that the waterproofing or resistance of your device will be maintained following repairs.

 

Complete Agreement & Understanding
  1. This agreement outlines the full understanding between TechnologyBase and the customer in relation to our services. It supersedes any prior discussions or agreements regarding our repair services.
  2. Any changes or amendments to this agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties.
  3. If any part of this agreement is deemed invalid or unenforceable, it will be severed, with the remaining provisions staying in full effect.
  4. This agreement does not grant rights to any third party under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
  5. The laws of England and Wales govern this agreement, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

  • Warranty and Manufacturer’s Coverage: Our repair services may void the manufacturer’s warranty. If you prefer to retain your warranty, consider visiting the device manufacturer instead.
  • Data Backup: We recommend that you back up your data before any repair, as TechnologyBase will not be responsible for loss or corruption of data during repairs.
  • Liquid Damage Progression: Devices damaged by liquid are prone to further deterioration upon being opened, which may result in serious, irreparable damage. We offer a 1-month warranty on liquid damage repairs; however, any recurrence of liquid-related issues will be reassessed, and a revised quote may be provided.
  • Repairs by Third Parties: If your device has been repaired elsewhere, TechnologyBase is not responsible for any hidden damage or complications. We will notify you immediately if such issues are found.
  • Warranty Exclusions: Our warranty covers only the specific parts repaired or replaced. Any additional damage to the repaired parts, or new accidental or liquid damage, is not covered under this warranty.
  • Repair Times: We aim to complete repairs within the quoted time frame; however, certain repairs, especially complex board-level repairs, may take longer.
